Quo (formerly OpenPhone) pricing in 2026: what each plan costs

Updated November 1, 2026

Quo (formerly OpenPhone) costs $15 to $47 per user a month: Starter $19 ($15 billed annually), Business $33 ($23 billed annually) and Scale $47 ($35 billed annually), plus a $19.50 one-time carrier registration and a $1.50–$3 monthly messaging fee for texting. Here is what each plan includes, taken from Quo's pricing page and checked on November 1, 2026. Prices change, so confirm there before you buy.

Quo is a business phone system that runs as an app: calls, texts and a shared inbox on iPhone, Android and desktop, with US and Canada calling and messaging included (subject to its Fair Usage Policy).

Quo charges per user and shows two prices for each plan: billed monthly, and billed annually (shown as a monthly figure).

What a 1–5 person trade business would pay

  • Owner-operator, one phone: Starter for 1 user, $15/month billed annually or $19/month, plus the $1.50–$3 messaging fee and the $19.50 one-time registration.
  • Crew of 3 on Starter: $45/month billed annually ($540 a year) or $57/month billed monthly, plus the messaging fee.
  • Want a phone menu (press 1 for service): that is on Business, $23–$33 per user a month.
  • Want an AI to answer the calls you miss: Sona is on every plan with 10 calls free; past that, $25/month buys 40 calls.

Does Quo text back missed calls?

Yes. Auto-replies are on every plan, and Quo describes them as: "Automatically respond to texts, missed calls, or voicemails with pre-defined messages." The catch is that the call has to come in on a Quo number: either a new number from Quo, or your existing number ported to Quo.

Where Quo is the better choice

  • You want a full business phone system: calls, texts, a shared inbox and voicemail transcripts on iPhone, Android and a computer. Ringback is not a phone system.
  • You want an AI to answer the call itself (Sona), or a phone menu that routes callers to the right person.
  • You are setting up a new business line anyway, or several people need to share one number.
  • For one user billed annually, Quo Starter plus its messaging fee ($16.50–$18 a month) costs about the same as Ringback and does far more.

If all you need is missed callers texted back

Some shops look at Quo only because they keep missing calls, and they don't want to move their number to a new provider. Ringback is a stand-alone missed-call text-back app: it runs on the Android phone your business number already rings on, so you keep your carrier and number as they are, and it texts every missed caller from that number within seconds, with separate business-hours and after-hours messages and a simple online booking page. It costs $17/month (or $170/year) per business line, not per user, with no setup fee and a 7-day free trial, no card to start. It does not answer calls, route calls or replace your phone service. It needs an Android phone on the business line, or an iPhone with the Ringback Mac helper (beta) or a spare Android.
